A spectacular double-flowered climber with lily-like layers of lilac-pink and rose tones, flowering from late spring through summer.
Clematis ‘Josephine’ (Evijohill) is known for its dramatic, lush double blooms that resemble dahlias: broad outer sepals of creamy-green turning lilac-pink, with deeper rose-pink central stripes, and many smaller inner petals forming a rosette. It flowers first in late spring and then again through summer into early autumn. The foliage is neat and trifoliate, growing up to 1.5–2.5 m tall with a spread of about 1–1.5 m, making it suitable for trellises, pergolas, or large containers in gardens where colour and texture can shine.
