Prunus incisa Mikinori Tree – Fuji Cherry
Prunus incisa Mikinori is a compact, upright form of Fuji cherry, prized for its profusion of pale pink to white blossom in early spring. The delicate flowers smother the branches before the fresh green foliage emerges, creating a striking seasonal display. Its leaves turn vibrant orange and red in autumn, adding a second burst of colour. With its neat growth habit, Mikinori is well suited for smaller gardens, patios, or as a feature in mixed borders.
Season: Pale pink to white blossom in spring; fresh green foliage in summer; fiery orange-red foliage in autumn; deciduous in winter
Care: Prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Hardy and low maintenance. Prune lightly after flowering if required.
Unique Selling Points: Compact size for smaller gardens, masses of spring blossom, superb autumn colour, hardy and reliable.
History: A modern cultivar of Prunus incisa (Fuji cherry), developed for ornamental use in gardens with limited space.
