Prunus cerasifera ‘Nigra’ Tree – Purple-Leaved Flowering Plum
Prunus cerasifera ‘Nigra’ is a striking ornamental plum, widely admired for its deep purple-black foliage and early spring blossom. In March and April, masses of pale pink to white flowers appear before the leaves, creating a spectacular display. The foliage remains a rich dark purple through summer, before turning reddish tones in autumn. Compact and elegant, it makes a superb specimen tree or feature in mixed borders.
