Betula utilis ‘Snow Queen’ (Doorenbos) – Himalayan Birch Tree
Betula utilis ‘Snow Queen’, also known as ‘Doorenbos’, is one of the most admired birch varieties, prized for its stunning, peeling white bark that develops within just three years, revealing flashes of warm orange beneath. Its upright habit makes it an excellent choice as a specimen tree, in multi-stem form, or planted in groups for dramatic effect. In spring, the tree produces ovate green leaves and yellowish-brown catkins, followed by golden autumn foliage. An RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, it is a reliable and elegant tree for year-round garden interest.
