Care Instructions:
Plant Lavatera 'Bredon Springs' in a position that receives full sun and has well-drained soil. It is tolerant of various soil types but will perform best with some added compost. Water regularly during its first year to ensure establishment, and during prolonged dry spells thereafter. The key to maintaining a healthy, floriferous plant is annual pruning: in mid-spring (late March or April), cut all stems back hard to about 30-45 cm from the ground. This encourages fresh new growth and an abundance of flowers. Deadheading spent blooms can also help prolong the flowering period.
