A Rich and Velvety Masterpiece of Deep Garnet Red

The Clematis 'Westerplatte' is a show-stopping Polish variety, world-renowned for having some of the richest red flowers in the Clematis family. True to the graceful spirit of 'Minuet', it produces a prolific display of stunning blooms that seem to glow against the foliage. The flowers are exceptionally elegant, featuring large, velvety petals in a deep garnet-red hue, accented by contrasting yellow anthers that act like tiny beacons in the centre of each bloom.

A vigorous and reliable performer, 'Westerplatte' is particularly prized for its compact habit. While it climbs beautifully up trellises, arches, and obelisks, it is exceptionally suitable for smaller gardens or for growing in large patio containers. Flowering generously from early summer through to late summer, it provides a dramatic splash of intense colour.
