Anything with 'wine' in the title automatically gets my vote! However, this is one for the people who love deep jewel tones. This is a fabulous large Zinnia variety with a huge deep wine red flower with rich double petals. Often used for cutting, these are reliable showstoppers.
Zinnias are annuals that have a one year life cycle so these are sown each year. Sow in late spring into pots and grow on until they're ready to be planted at the front of borders, or planting into bedding displays in containers.
Zinnias are famous for being sun lovers! Plant them in full sun and in well drained soil (they don't like to be anywhere too boggy!)
They will flower from the middle of summer and keep going until late summer. They usually take 9 weeks from sowing to flower (as a rough guide).
