Care Instructions:
Hosta First Frost is happiest in partial to full shade. While it can tolerate a small amount of morning sun, too much light will cause the blue waxy coating to fade to green. It thrives in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Ensure the plant is watered regularly during the summer months to keep the foliage lush. Apply a layer of mulch around the base of the plant in spring to help retain moisture and provide nutrients. As with all Hostas, it will go dormant in winter; simply cut back the dead foliage once it has died down to make way for new growth in the spring.
