Brighten up your late winter and early spring garden with the cheerful and incredibly fragrant Erysimum ‘Spring Feeling’. Commonly known as a perennial Wallflower, this variety is a gardener’s favourite for its compact, mounding habit and its ability to produce a profusion of vibrant, sun-yellow blooms when the rest of the garden is just waking up. The flowers sit above neat, evergreen foliage that provides structure and greenery all year round. Whether planted in a sunny border or a focal-point patio pot, these plants deliver high-impact colour and a delightful scent.

Key Features:

  • Incredible Fragrance: Releases a sweet, honey-like scent that fills the garden on warm spring days.

  • Long-Lasting Blooms: Produces flowers from late winter through to early summer, far outlasting traditional bedding wallflowers.

  • Evergreen Foliage: Neat, narrow dark-green leaves stay on the plant year-round, providing excellent groundcover.

  • Pollinator Friendly: An essential early-season nectar source for bees and butterflies.

  • Compact & Tidy: Its mounding habit makes it perfect for front-of-border displays or smaller garden containers.

Care & Usage Instructions:
Erysimum 'Spring Feeling' thrives in full sun and requires well-drained soil. It is particularly happy in alkaline or neutral soil types. While they are drought-tolerant once established, ensure they are watered during dry spells in their first year. To encourage a second flush of flowers and keep the plant looking tidy, deadhead the spent flower spikes promptly. Every few years, these plants may become slightly woody; you can lightly trim them back after flowering to maintain a neat shape, but avoid cutting into old wood.
